VISA and Invitation Letters

Conference participants who need visa to travel to Ghana should please  apply for one from the nearest Ghana diplomatic posts. Where there is no Ghana diplomatic post in your country, you can obtain a visa at Kotoka International Airport on arrival. If you need a letter of invitation, kindly send an email to Prof Nathaniel Boso on natboso@gmail.com and an invitation letter would be prepared for you promptly. Please note that ECOWAS citizens do not need visa to travel to Ghana. For African Union citizens, you can obtain visa upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport in Accra. 1. How do I register for the AIB-Africa 2019 conference?

You can use the link- https://aibafrica2019.org/register-2/ to register. Remember to choose the non- AIB member option if you will like to renew your annual membership together with the conference registration

2. Where can I lodge during the conference?

The conference hotel is The Royal Fiesta hotel (http://fiestahospitality.com/). You can either make reservations here or you can use any of the recommended hotels and guest houses

3. Will there be a shuttle bus to take me to the conference hotel on the conference days.

Yes, The host institution will provide shuttle buses for participants staying at designated guest houses. For more information please send an email to Nat (natboso@gmail.com) and/or Adeline (linasmelody2008@yahoo.com)

4. Do I need a visa to come to Ghana?

Residents from West Africa can use their ECOWAS passport to gain entry into Ghana. 5. Can I get a letter to support my visa application process?

Yes, Please send an email to natboso@gmailcom with the subject heading”Visa letter to attend AIB-Africa 2019 conference in Ghana”

6. Can I pay for my registration at the conference?

Yes, You can make cash card and bank payments. All cash payments will be in dollars only.

7. Can I get a receipt and an invoice for my payment?

Yes. Please send an email to niheanachor@lbs.edu.ng to get an invoice for your payment

8. Are there any waivers for students?

Yes. Limited registration fee waivers are offered to African doctoral students studying in Africa. You will need to be participating in the doctoral consortium an will be requested to provide 10hours of volunteering to the conference organisation. You can make your applications for a registration fee waiver by sending an email to aibforafrica@gmail.com.
